Manoja Gamage
I am a PhD candidate in the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at Queensland University of Technology. My research focuses on utilising food literacy in the dietary management of people living with type 2 diabetes mellitus. I am developing a culturally appropriate food literacy measure for use in clinical settings in Sri Lanka, guided by a co-design approach that brings together people with diabetes and healthcare professionals. My broader interest lies in how food literacy can be leveraged to strengthen dietary management and support more effective care for people living with non-communicable diseases.
